Billy Lee Riley - Red Hot (1996, CD) | Discogs

Sun Sounds: “Red Hot”- Billy Lee Riley. “Red Hot” was originally written and recorded at Sun Studio by Billy “The Kid” Emerson in 1955 but version that is best known was recorded in 1957 by another Sun artist- Billy Lee Riley. Neither version though charted. Billy Lee Riley’s other ‘big’ song at Sun was “Flyin’ Saucers Rock and Roll.” Sam Phillips would later say about Riley and Warren Smith- “These were people with unique abilities and I could have done a little more with them. Those guys I know had hit records in them.”
