Sun Sounds- “We Wanna Boogie”- Sonny Burgess. Sonny Burgess was a rockabilly singer and guitarist. Burgess was from Newport, Arkansas -80 miles from Memphis. He and his band The Pacers- first record was made in 1956 at Sun Studio. The song was written by Burgess. The song and his onstage performances were described as “among the most raucous, energy-filled recordings released during the first flowering of rock and roll.”
