Neil Sedaka’s ‘comeback’ had a big assist from Elton Hercules John- he hadn’t had a top 40 hit since the Kennedy administration- Elton was a fan and released “Laughter In The Rain” on his Rocket Records label. Later on in 1975 he would hook up with Elton on another single which went to #1- “Bad Blood.”
decent easy-listening song.
I like the sound of his voice. Good song. Also like both versions of Breaking Up is Hard to Do.
I really liked this song, but hated ‘Bad Blood’.
I’ve always thought Bad Blood was more of an Elton thing- at least when I listen to it in my mind I am hearing Elton.
I really liked Neil Sedaka, both as a songwriter and a performer. Thanks for this memory.
