Sun Sounds- “Mona Lisa”- Carl Mann. How about a rockabilly version of the classic “Mona Lisa” made popular in the early 50’s by Nat King Cole? In 1959 Carl Mann who Sam Phillips had signed to a three year contract- recorded-and released his version of the song- and it was a hit- going to #25 in the Billboard Hot 100. Carl Mann was only 16 years old at the time.

I had the great good fortune to see Carl Mann perform at Viva Las Vegas in 2018. He still sounds pretty darned good! I couldn’t find any video of the performance, unfortunately.
