- Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau of Canada declared that only peacetime state of emergency in its history and outlawed the Quebec Liberation Front permitting provincial police and local authorities to arrest more than 250 people across the Quebec province. Trudeau’s son Justin is the current Prime Minister of Canada.
- Asahi Shimbun- a Tokyo newspaper became the first publication in history to have more than 10 million subscribers. Today is it the second largest circulating paper in the world. Circulation as of 2016 6.5 million.
So that’s the first lady who was frolicking at the hotel with The Rolling Stones? Weird to think she’s the mom of their current leader.
