1974 was a big year for Barry White- not only did this single get to #1 he had a second single “You’re The First, The Last, My Everything” which peaked at #2. The album they both came from Can’t Get Enough topped the album chart. White wrote, recorded, produced and sang the songs. Taylor Dayne would later cover it and have a Top 20 hit with “Can’t Get Enough Of Your Love, Babe”- but I will go with Barry White’s original.
I still love this song 46 years after its release. I bought the album too.
An absolute classic that will never die. I just about wore out my 8-track tape of this record… and still love it today. ‘Darlin, I…… can’t get enough of your love, babe..’
