Los Lobos and Grateful Dead were welcomed additions…hard to believe the Dead hit so big in the late eighties. I love it but I didn’t see that coming.
I bet they were as surprised as we were.
Hooray for the Grateful Dead making it into the Top 10.
Some nice tunes on there I still like. Agree “Luka” by Suzanne Vega is great. The other standout to me is John Mellencamp’s “Paper in Fire”.
“Touch of Grey” probably was the first Grateful Dead tune I heard at the time without knowing it was the Grateful Dead. It was only a few years ago that I started exploring some of their music.
Yes- .. Touch of Grey would be my second favorite song here and while the late 80’s not my favorite period for music- Melllencamp was a bright spot.
Took me back. Remember most of them.
