“The Ice Man” Jerry Butler was born in Sunflower, Mississippi in 1939 but grew up in Chicago. A member of The Impressions in the late 50’s he left early for a solo career in 1958. His biggest hit “Only The Strong Survive” #4 1969. “Where Are You Going” is from the movie Joe starring Peter Boyle.
