“Show And Tell” was first recorded by Johnny Mathis in 1972. The Mathis version made it to #36 in the Easy Listening Singles chart. Al Wilson wasn’t a one hit wonder- although “Show And Tell” is the hit everyone identifies him with. He did have 8 Hot 100 hits with 4 making the Top 40. He released five albums from 1968-79. He died of kidney failure in 2008 at the age of 68.
