“Baby, I Need Your Loving” was the first big hit by The Four Tops- reaching #11 in 1964. Johnny Rivers took a more uptempo version to #3 in 1967. O.C. Smith was an R&B singer born in Louisiana and raised in Los Angeles. He had 10 Hot 100 singles from 1968-74- his biggest hit being “Little Green Apples” #2 1968. He died in 2001 at the age of 69.
