Born Shanon Myers in 1944 in Hazel, Kentucky. Jackie DeShannon is a pop singer/songwriter. From 1963-80 she had 16 Hot 100 hits with 3 Top 40- her biggest hit #4 “Put A Little Love In Your Heart” 1969- but the song that probably put the most groceries on her table- was one she co-wrote- “Bette Davis Eyes” which became a mega hit in the early 1980’s for Kim Carnes.
