Bobby Sherman was born in 1943- Santa Monica, California. He was a teen idol, actor and ‘singer.” He had 10 Hot 100 Singles with 7 making the Top 40. His biggest hit was “Little Woman” #3 1969.
I used to listen to the weekly top 30 countdowns on the San Francisco radio stations back then, and was shocked the week this turkey was #1 on one of them!
That is insane. Luckily his 15 minutes of pop fame was short lived.
Yes, he was pretty bad. I absolutely hated his even worse hit “Little Woman”. What’s so shocking is that a radio station in SAN FRANCISCO of all cities would put this stinker at #1!
I know this song from the mid-2000s box set “70’s Music Explosion,” which is filled with all the songs people DON’T want to remember from the 70’s! Full tracklist here: http://sjose72.blogspot.com/2020/02/va-time-life-70s-music-explosion-10-cd.html
I remember Bobby Sherman on “Here Comes the Brides” TV show. I also remember that when the prettiest girl in eighth grade rejected my advances, I sang Bobby’s “Easy Come, Easy Go” to console myself.
