Today is ALSO the day (in 2012) that my Mom died.

I remember exactly where I was when I heard the news over the radio!
That was one of those kind of moments I think.
I remember so much about that day.
Hard to believe today is the 43rd anniversary of Elvis Presley’s death. As I’ve noted on previous occasions, Elvis was my childhood idol, the first and only music artist I ever truly adored. It’s important to note I was only 9 or 10 years old when he first entered my radar screen
While I also became a huge fan of four lads from Liverpool, I never was a “Beatlemaniac.” That happened 2-3 years after Elvis. At such a young age, a few years can make a huge difference in your degree of maturity.
The news today said that Trump was dead.
Remember this day so vividly. 1977 was a tragic year for our family; we lost two loved ones so suddenly. Then, I read the headlines about Elvis. I was not the greatest of fans but his death was as if a generation had died with him.
