Christie was a British Pop-Rock band. They had 2 Hot 100 singles- this one “Yellow River” is the only one to crack the Top 40. I didn’t think I knew this song- until I heard it- of course its been decades since I heard it.
This is yet another one that caught my attention on UK streaming radio. I too sort of remember it from back then, but it didn’t get much radio play here. It has aged well, imo. It’s in my Youtube playlist, and I love when it comes on.
I remember hearing this on the radio as a little kid. I remember liking it. It’s catchy.
Great song …I remembered it from my childhood but I ‘refound’ it more recently when REM did a cover version of it…good version true to original, Mike Mills singing instead of Michael Stipe.
