  1. I heard the Illusion several times at the Rock Pile on the Island.
    Another band which I managed to see were Ten Wheel Drive , both were local attractions that had a mild following. I did have copies of their releases but alas, they are long gone.

    • I doubt it, it was around 71,72 when I caught them. There were several places on the Island that held couple of thousand, Action House, the Rock Pile, OBI East and west, regional bands and bands on the way up played there. Think Billy Joel player there with the Hassles, did not see him. The Dead played there too, list is very extensive, tickets ran 3/5 dollars as a rule. Shit I saw the Dead 5 nights in a row in 71, at the Academy of Music on 14 th for 5.50 a ticket
