The debut single by The Partridge Family- David Cassidy on lead vocals with Shirley Jones on background vocals. It was their most memorable and most successful single. During the first season of the television show- The Partridge Family it was featured twice. I always enjoyed The Partridge Family especially the interplay between Danny and Ruben and of course I was one of millions who crushed on Laurie Partridge- aka Susan Dey. David Cassidy was much better than your average teen idol it’s too bad he got stuck in that ‘teen idol” mold.
I’m honestly surprised you gave this an A-minus. I loved it when it came out, but I was a nerdy 16-year old. Now I think it’s just okay. I’d give it a B-minus.
David Cassidy!
50 years later – I still like this song
