American Top 40 replay- The 1980’s- the week of June 18, 1983. What an exceptional week. Last week I covered a week in early June 1982- a very mediocre week- what a difference a year makes.   1. I was livingin America during this period. The big one I remember although I believe it was released earlier was Alan Parson’s Project Eye in The Sky.I never even realised they were a British band at the time. I remember the unique American sound of bands like Styx and REO Speedwagon. I bought a Billy Joel Album back to England.
