Ginger Baker born Peter Baker in 1939 in Lewisham, South London, England. Baker of course a legendary drummer best remembered for his time in the supergroup Cream. No discussion of great drummers can be made without his name coming into the conversation. Baker died last October at the age of 80. “Man Of Constant Sorrow” a traditional song best known today for the Ralph Stanley version- is sung here by former Moody Blues and future Wings member- Denny Laine. This was the only entry into the Hot 100 by Ginger Baker’s Air Force.

I haven’t heard much from this part of his career…it sounds really good…but…Beware of Mr. Baker!
Great doc which I need to see again!
Where the heck did you pull this one from? Probably the only person in the world who ever did a post on this cut. I guess that’s why I tune in.
Not a bad tune! Beware of Mr. Baker!
