The Impressions a R&B vocal group out of Chicago- lead by Curtis Mayfield had 39 Hot 100 Singles and 17 Top 40 hits from 1958-75. At this point they were near the end of their run on the charts- they had one more Top 40 hit after this. Mayfield left the group for a solo career after this album. Their biggest hit #4 “It’s All Right” #4 1963. They are members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
