Richard Penniman aka Little Richard- Rock and Roll Pioneer -died on May 9th at the age of 87. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the first class back in 1986. Below is an article about Little Richard and his great influence. We will never see his like again.

Excellent article. I knew the Tutti Fruitti good booty line, but not the rest of the original lyrics. Pretty hardcore. Little Richard was one of my mom’s favorite artists. When I DJ’d kid dances back in the day, I’d throw Tutti Fruitti into the mix with Gangsta’s Paradise and Original Prankster, or whatever. I was amazed that all the kids knew it…and loved it.
Those lyrics were always hard/ fun to decipher- due to how Richard sang them.
