I can’t argue with this. I agree with the top and bottom…the middle could go any way almost.
I never liked The Long And Winding Road much either. I don’t hate it but it’s not my favorite.
I don’t hate it either but it’s not something that really stands out. When I listen to it it’s not like I feel like I am hearing something special- and its not the Phil Spector production that ruins it. It’s just another song-one which I think Paul had high expectations for as he was writing it.

Eleanor Rigby was a #1 in the UK but #11 in the US. Norwegian Wood wasn’t released as a single.
