R.B. Greaves was born Howard Bertram Greaves in 1944 at USAF Base- Georgetown, British Guyana. He died at the age of 67 in 2012. He was half- Native American and the nephew of the great Sam Cooke. He had 5 Hot 100 singles with 2 making the Top 40- his biggest a #2 “Take A Letter Maria”- 1969. “Fire and Rain” is a remake of  the big James Taylor hit.
