Song Of The Day Challenge- Day 6- “Range Life”- Pavement. “Range Life” was the third single from Pavement’s excellent 1994 album “Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain.” I loved this song from the first time I heard it- one of my most listened to songs that year- but loved it even more because Billy Corgan got all butt hurt over the Smashing Pumpkins being insulted in the song. Corgan easily one of the most dislikeable stars of his era- went so far as to threaten to cancel the Smashing Pumpkins Lollapalooza appearance where they were the headliners unless Pavement who was also scheduled for the tour- was kicked off the tour. Pavement was removed-but they would do Lollapalooza the following year.

Never heard this one before. Reminds me a little of Neil Young.
Not familiar with this song nor Pavement, but I was really out of it, music-wise, during most of the 90s. I essentially listened only to pop music then, which was my loss.
They were of that era early to mid 90’s
Sounds good Hans…I’ll take a listen to more of them…anyone that tweaks Corgan makes me happy.
