Liquid Smoke was an R&B rock band from North Carolina- this was their only Hot 100 entry. “I Who Have Nothing” is an English version of an Italian song. This is a much covered song-Ben E. King #29 in 1963. Tom Jones took it to #14 and Sylvester in 1979 #40 as a disco song.
