Glen Campbell’s cover of the Edwin Hawkins Singer’s #4 hit from 1968. While I will go with the Edwin Hawkins version as the ‘go to’ Campbell as usual does a competent job. Glen’s old friend from The Wrecking Crew Hal Blaine is on drums. This was Campbell’s third hit already in 1970 and it was still only early April.  Campbell was inducted into the Country And Western Music Hall of Fame in 2005- and had 75 country hits.
