The O’Jays an R&B vocal group from Canton, Ohio- were originally The Triumphs. They had a long road to stardom-their first Hot 100 hit was back in 1963- they would have 10 Billboard Hot 100 singles the highest charting one being this one at #64- until finally hitting it big in 1972- with their classic ‘Back Stabbers.”  They would eventually made it into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005. They had one #1 “Love Train” in 1973. Overall 29 Hot 100 singles with 9 making the Top 40.
