From 1962-73 Bobby Goldsboro had 26 Hot 100 hits with 11 making the Top 40. He is remembered for his #1 from 1968 “Honey” and “Watching Scotty Grow” #11 later in 1970. Not a fan. He does have one cool item on his resume though- in the early 1960’s he was part of Roy Orbison’s band.
At his peak, Goldsboro appeared several times on the Tonight Show and famously entertained the audience with his cricket imitation.
I think briefly he also had his own television show- not sure what network .
This one reminds me a little of John Denver.
