The Box Tops a pop-rock group out of Memphis- best remembered for their two big hits – 1967’s “The Letter” #1 and 1968’s “Cry Like A Baby” #2. They had ten Hot 100 Hit singles with 7 making the Top 40 from 1967-70- this was their final entry into the Hot 100. They were Alex Chilton’s band before he started the mighty Big Star.
Not bad!
