The Marmalade were a pop band from Scotland. They had 3 Hot 100 singles this was their only Top 40 hit in America. The single peaked at #3 on the UK Singles charts. The writers of the song- Junior Campbell was the bands guitarist and Dean Ford- the singer. Earlier in 1968-69 they had a #1 hit in the UK with a cover of The Beatles “Ob-La-Di- Ob- La-Da.”
