Sweet Soul Music Of The 70’s-: “Sideshow”- Blue Magic.

Blue Magic was an R&B vocal group from Philadelphia. “Sideshow” was their only big hit- peaking at #8 in the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the R&B singles chart in the summer of 1974. . Their only other Top 40 hit was the follow up to “Sideshow”- “Three Ring Circus” #38. With the coming of disco -the groups popularity faded and they would break up in the early 80’s.  “Sideshow” was written by Bobby Eli and Vinny Barrett- who also wrote the big hit for Major Harris “Love Won’t Let Me Wait.”
