The Supremes 3rd consecutive #1 single in four months time. The Supremes were not the first to release “Come See About Me” as a single- Nella Dodds did- her version peaked at #74 in the Hot 100. On December 27th 1964 The Supremes played “Come See About Me” on their first appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show. All told The Supremes appeared on Sullivan’s show 17 times.
