Andoinis Jovakim aka Andy Kim was born in Montreal in 1946. He was a pop singer-songwriter. He teamed with Jeff Barry to write the huge hit “Sugar, Sugar” for The Archies. As far as his solo career- he had a dozen Hot 100 singles with 6 making the Top 40. He would have 3 Hot 100 singles in 1970 with one making the Top 40- #17 “Be My Baby.” The biggest hit of his career would come in 1974 with “Rock Me Gently” a #1 hit.
