The American Top 40 Replay this week- January 25, 1975– 3 of my boys in it this week- John, Paul and Ringo!- and a Beatles cover by Elton. We also have ELO who had too much I Am The Walrus to dream last night–and while The Beatles didn’t write this weeks #1 song- they did a great cover of it back in the early days and of course there is also on the charts one of the 5th Beatles- Billy Preston. Stevie Wonder covered a number of Beatles songs over the years and the Mac Davis song on the countdown this week mentions The Beatles…did I miss any Beatles connections? Joe Walsh of The Eagles- Ringo’s brother in law but Joe wasn’t with The Eagles at this point.

  1. One more Beatle Connection in a roundabout way… America – Lonely People… produced by George Martin…and my favorite America song.

Junior’s Farm/Sally G is my favorite Paul single… it’s not critically the greatest buy my personal favorite.
