  • NEIL YOUNG: AFTER THE GOLD RUSH: 1970: 5+ STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: IPOD: Neil’s third solo album is one of his best- the title track would have to be on my Neil Mt. Rushmore.  Great album cover also. A pretty flawless album.

Harvest - neil young.jpg

  • NEIL YOUNG: HARVEST MOON: 1992: 4 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: IPOD: Neil’s comeback continued- like Bobby Dylan the 80’s may have been Neil’s weakest decade- especially the second half of the decade -until Ragged Glory in 1989. I see Ole Neil became a U.S. citizen a couple days ago.

  1. Fully agree on After the Gold Rush. Perfect album. I think Neil’s 1989 album was actually Freedom, and that Ragged Glory came out in 1990. Regardless, those two, plus Harvest Moon in 1992 made for an extraordinary late career resurgence.
