Sweet Soul Music of the 70’s- “In The Rain”- The Dramatics.

The Dramatics were an R&B vocal group from Detroit. They had a dozen Hot 100 singles but only two of them made the Top 40- 1971’s “Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get” which went to #9 and this one in 1972″ In The Rain” #5. “In The Rain” went to #1 on the R&B Singles Chart.

“In The Rain” was written by Tony Hester and released on the Volt/ Stax label out of Memphis. Of the five members of The Dramatics at the time of this recording- four have passed away only Larry Demps is living.
