Johnny Winter was a noted blues-rock guitarist-singer. He had 2 Hot 100 singles neither of which made the Top 40. He had a long and storied career not only as a great guitarist but he also produced three Grammy winning albums for Muddy Waters. Rolling Stone magazine listed Winter at #63 on their list of 100 Greatest Guitarists. He is a member of the Blues Foundation Hall of Fame. He and his brother Edgar were both born with albinism. Johnny Winter died in 2016 at the age of 70.
