Every Entry Into The Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart- 1969- Part 205- The two singles today entered the Billboard Hot 100 on December 27, 1969- 50 years ago today.- “I’ll Never Fall In Love Again”- Dionne Warwick and “The Thrill Is Gone”- B.B. King- two great singles.

666. “I’ll Never Fall In Love Again”- Dionne Warwick. Scepter. Pop. Written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David B-Side: What The World Needs Now is Love.” Peaked at #6 11 weeks on the chart. The 5th Hot 100 single from Dionne Warwick in 1969- 4 of which made the Top 40. Dionne Warwick covering Bacharach/ David and Glen Campbell covering Jimmy Webb in this era- money in the bank. Bacharach and David wrote the song for the musical “Promises Promises” in 1968. Bacharach and David were nominated for a Grammy for Song of the Year but lost out to Joe South and “Games People Play” Warwick would win a Grammy for Best Contemporary Vocal Performance, Female.  Grade: A+
