597. “Whole Lotta Love”- Led Zeppelin. Atlantic. Rock. Written by Page-Bonham-Jones and Plant. B-side:” Living Loving Maid {She’s Just A Woman} Peaked at #4 15 weeks on the chart. The 2nd Hot 100 hit for Led Zeppelin in their debut year 1969- and their biggest ever hit single. Grade:A+

598. “La La La {If I Had You}- Bobby Sherman. Metromedia. Pop. Written by Danny Janssen. B-side:”Time”- Peaked at #9 11 weeks on the chart. the 2nd Top 10 hit for Sherman in 1969.  Grade: C

B-side:” You Made Me Love You.” Peaked at #12 13 weeks in the Hot 100.  The first 100 hit for the pop group out of England. They had 3 Hot 100 hits in 1969-70- with their biggest hit coming in 1970 with “Hitchin’ A Ride” #5. Grade: B
