In the UK Led Zeppelin never released a single until the 90’s
That’s interesting. Do you know why they didn’t, Steve?
They didn’t need to. They were an album band
Ok. Lots about the music industry I have yet to learn.
They took the stance that all of their albums were complete works of art and that singles were commercials for the radio. Except their label in the US didn’t listen and released Whole Lotta Love anyway
I can see both sides of it, at least back then, before the days of youtube and other ways to get the music to the people. If Whole Lotta Love hadn’t been released we may never have learned they existed.
God Almighty. One of the Zep greats! I SO miss analog music. And, to fully appreciate this song, put on headphones for the sound to whirl around in your head. ❤
That 3rd song sounds vaguely familiar. I do remember Hitchin’ a Ride.
