392. “Green River”- Creedence Clearwater Revival. Fantasy. Rock. Written by John Fogerty. B-side:”Commotion.” 1969 was the year of CCR- they had 7 Hot 100 hits- and Green River was the 3rd single of theirs to peak at #2 that year. ‘Green River” spent 13 weeks in the Hot 100. The b-side:”Commotion” would also be a top 40 hit reaching #30. Grade: A+.

393. “Share Your Love With Me”- Aretha Franklin. Atlantic. Soul. Written by Alfred Braggs and Deadric Malone. B-side:”Pledge My Love/The Clock.” Aretha Franklin had 6 Hot 100 singles in 1969 and her biggest on the pop chart was “Share Your Love With Me” which peaked at #13 and spent 10 weeks on the chart. “Share Your Love With Me” was originally recorded by Bobby Bland and has over the years also been covered by The Band, Kenny Rogers and Van The Man Morrison. Grade: B+

394. “Keem-O- Sabe”- Electric Indian. United Artists. Soul. Written by Bernard Binnick and Bernice Borisoff. B-side:”Broad Street.” The Electric Indian was a put together in the studio band from Philadelphia -which included Daryl Hall of future Hall and Oates fame. “Keem-O- Babe” an instrumental peaked at #16 and spent 11 weeks on the chart. They had 2 Hot 100 hits both were in 1969. Grade: B-
CCR yes goes without saying. Aretha does a good job on this and love the backup musicians. The last one reminds me of the theme song for The Dating Game….

Anything CCR is fantastic! I never had heard the instrumental- surprised it was a hit.
