This Must Be The Place-” Woodstock”- Matthews Southern Comfort. Last month with the anniversary of Woodstock I featured both the original version of “Woodstock” by the great Joni Mitchell- and the most known version by Crosby, Stills and Nash. Since we will be visiting the site of Woodstock today- thought Woodstock would be the place I feature today- and I am going with the version I didn’t use last month- by Matthews Southern Comfort- which came out in 1970. Actually Woodstock didn’t take place in Woodstock, New York but near Bethel, New York. Looking forward to seeing the actual site of the most famous concert ever.
Visiting the Woodstock site sounds cool. I’ve never been there myself. Have fun!😀
I remember this version. Sounds pretty good with the steel guitar. The singer looks high.
p.s. can’t wait to hear about your visit there
I will write on it when I get the chance- it was yesterday- and well worth stopping. Today- FDR’s Hyde Park and up to Lake Placid..
Awesome on all. Isn’t Lake Placid a place with a luge and winter Olympics training ground?
I think Lake Placid has those- and is the Olympic training ground… we spent all day at FDR’s- will make it to Lake Placid in the morning… it will be 36 degrees there in the morning!
36 degrees??? Ack! I hope you packed coats.
It will be 70 by the time we get there this afternoon.. crazy.
What the ? How can it shift so much in a matter of hours? Unreal.
We are here now and it is warm! 72.. will be 35 in the morning! nuts!
Isn’t it in the mountains? Maybe that’s why?
yes up in the Adirondacks
