The Sounds of Summer- Day 57 of 95- “Here Comes The Sun”- Richie Havens. Yesterday with the beginning of the Woodstock Anniversary celebration- the festival began 50 years ago- I was listening to a best of Richie Havens CD. Although he didn’t play “Here Comes The Sun” [ The Beatles Abbey Road wouldn’t be released until September 1969} and I have always associated “Here Comes The Sun” with spring and not summer- the Havens version seemed to me like a summer song { I will save The Beatles original if I get around to doing The Sounds of Spring } I had listened to the Havens Cd a month or so ago but with it being the anniversary I wanted to listen to who I considered Day 1 of the festival’s star. He started the entire concert off on a positive vibe and listening to his music couldn’t help but put me in a pretty good mood.
