Jet and Let Me Roll It is a great double a-sided single.
Have you ever seen the Alan Partridge- british tv show? His theme song is Jet! {Steve Coogan plays Alan Partridge- well worth seeing funny stuff. }
No I havent..I will check it out.
Coogan had several British series that were hilarious stuff- short run series like Life On Mars was..maybe a dozen episodes..
I will have to check him out. I haven’t found anything new recently.
I’m Alan Partridge -12 episodes from 1997-2002.. Knowing Me Knowing You with Alan Partridge from back in the mid 90’s are great..
Thanks…I will give them a shot. I’m looking forward to it. We have been looking for something we haven’t seen.
What? You don’t like ‘Ooga Chuka’? 🤣
Maria Muldaur made me want to stick pencils in my ears.
I have not heard The Lord’s Prayer song since I was a kid.
Oooo…David Essex…
Terry Jacks…🤮
A few months ago I featured Hooked On A Feeling with the Ooga Chuckas as one of the worst hits ever…. hate that song..
I can’t stand it, either. It’s stupid & cheesy. I couldn’t believe it was included with the advertisements for Guardians of the Galaxy. 😖
I hate Mockingbird almost as much as Hooked on a Feeling….
A nice balance of the good, the bad, and the ugly, with the good edging out into the lead.
well put.
TSOP by MFSB should get an A. That whole album was marvelous.
My husband said he substituted the words “I-I-I’m… I’m hooked on the ceiling” (instead of feeling) when he was a kid. Jim Croce, Kool and the Gang, Chicago…even Barbra S.! It WAS a good week!
BTW–I can’t win! All I did was try to change my settings from “instantly” to “daily” where you’re concerned, ’cause there’s SO MANY posts I can’t keep up with them, lol !!! Then it, like, UNSUBCRIBED me or something!! What the hell? Had to go back to “instantly”, and I’ll just take my chances drowning…..under the weight…..
At least it’s a pleasant death! 🙂
LOL. That’s funny. Sometimes I hit the wrong buttons on here myself. Or can’t figure things out– I like your husbands lyrics to the song better.. for a long time I thought the year of the cat line was ‘ you’ve thrown away your choice of lobster tickets”
Lol! Lobster tickets are the best. They’re SO hard to come by, you usually have to get scalped ones, but then you’re always taking the risk of ending up with the less valuable crab tickets, and God forbid you get stuck with useless clam tickets….. 🙂
yes losing crab tickets just wouldn’t have fit in with the rest of the song either!
HOOKED ON A FEELING !! Oh my god, I loved this song! I definitely recall listening to it on AM, FM, everywhere there was a sound system….
