The Rolling Stones Song of the Day is- Country Honk. Country Honk is a country oriented  version of The Rolling Stones classic single “Honky Tonk Woman” which was a #1 single [but a non-album single} from earlier in the summer of 1969. Country Honk has some slightly different lyrics than the classic rock single does.  Country Honk- written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards is the third song on Let It Bleed. Keith Richards has said that Country Honk was how Honk Tonk Woman was originally written. Needless to say the original would not have made it to #1 as a single.
