Hans Worst Hits of the 90’s- “Informer” -Snow. One Vanilla Ice was more than enough- this Canadian Vanilla Ice copy cat of sorts- was the reggae version of The Ice Man. Snow was born Darrin O’Brien in Toronto. Incredibly this single spent seven weeks at #1 in 1993. The song is based on a late 1980s incident where Snow -was charged with two counts of attempted murder. He was eventually acquitted and released. He did manage one more hit in the US- Girl I’ve Been Hurt #19 the same year before joining Vanilla Ice in oblivion. Both of his hits came off of his debut album “12 inches of Snow”… more like No Change of Snow.. I haven’t heard this song in at least 25 years- I had almost forgotten how awful it was. Snow is still around but mostly unseen and unheard. Enjoy!
