It was sixty years ago today- February 3, 1959- the plane carrying Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper and Ritchie Valens went down Iowa killing all three. Attached is an article from the UK about the legacy of the great Buddy Holly.

Of all the fifties rockers…I think Buddy would have fit in with the 60s better than the rest.
Oh, my. The day the music died. What a loss. What if…? We can only guess.
Most of the 50’s rockers didn’t do as well later- but I think Buddy could have been the exception…
And, Waylon Jennings was devastated.
