Been listening to a lot of the music of 1968 this year- and as the 50th anniversary of that year ends- a list of my 25 Top albums of 1968. I am just going to list them- I have made comments or posts about all of them at one point in the past twelve months-usually on their 50th anniversary… now it’s on to 1969.

Good choices. Suprised you left off S.F, Sorrow.
“Surprised” insteand of “Suprised” of course,,,,
Gosh, today is not my day for typing, Hopefully 2019 will be much better.
I believe that was the year the “Crazy Diamond” left Pink Floyd. I listened to a ton of Pink Floyd and still do, but it was all from the post-Barrett period. What’s your opinion of the earlier stuff?
I like their stuff- but have never been a big Pink Floyd fan- either in the Barrett or post-Barrett era. I can understand their popularity though. To sum them up in a word- i’d say- it’s ok stuff but i’ve never been a fanatic.
Top ten looks great…I wouldn’t change a thing.
I‘m not familiar with each of these albums, but based on what I know, this is another great list.
Surely, 1968 was a great year in music, as was 1969, so there should be lots of fodder for 50th anniversary stuff to write about next year!😀
I was already looking at 1969 I agree another strong year ahead!
Led Zeppelin I & II, Neil Young‘s first solo album, Joe Cocker‘s debut, The Who‘s Tommy, Blind Faith, Santana’s debut, The Band’s eponymous second album, The Beatles’ Abbey Road, The Allman Brothers’ eponymous debut, David Bowie’s Space Oddity, The Rod Stewart Album. And the list goes on and on – it’s friggin’ rock & roll heaven!
BTW, I’m not some rock encyclopedia and peeked on Wikipedia!😀
LOL… yes it is a year of treasures! Great albums- and get singles and famous concerts too.
OS Mutantes and Silver Apples – gonna have to check them out. Nice list, Hans. I had a feeling Van the Man would be #1.
