The Rolling Stones Song of the Day is Stupid Girl. Stupid Girl is the second song on The Rolling Stones 1966 album Aftermath. Stupid Girl was written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. Stupid Girl was also the b-side to the Paint It Black hit single. Stupid Girl was another of the Stones put down songs of women from that era- Under My Thumb also comes to mind. Keith has said it was the outcome of their environment at the time- touring- hotels, a different city every day. Of course songs like this helped with The Stones controversial ‘bad boy’ image they were championing. Not a badly performed song though I like Ian Stewart’s organ part.
