IT WAS FIFTY YEARS AGO TODAY- MONDAY DECEMBER 23, 1968–APOLLO 8 GOES INTO THE MOON’S GRAVITATIONAL PULL

It was fifty years ago today- Monday December 23, 1968 at 3:29 PM- Apollo 8 crossed the line that separates the Earth’s gravitational influence from that of the moon- as they continue to make history. Man had never been beyond the Earth’s control ever- and now the three astronauts- Frank Borman, Jim Lovell and Bill Anders were under the pull of the Moon’s gravity and getting closer and closer to the moon on their historical journey.
