- R.E.M.: MURMUR: 1983: 5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: R.E.M’s debut album- they had released an EP prior to the album. Radio Free Europe was the first R.E.M. song I ever heard- on a college radio station. The second time I heard it I caught the name of the group and then went searching for the album. The rest of the album was as great as the single [which peaked at #78 on the pop charts- that should have been a #1} One of my favorite new 80’s groups along with U2. Can’t name favorites on this-they all are. I still can’t figure out some of the words Michael Stipe is singing.

- BUCK OWENS: THE BUCK OWENS COLLECTION: 1959-90: DISC 1: 5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS:
- BUCK OWENS: THE BUCK OWENS COLLECTION: 1959-90: DISC 2 : 5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS:
- BUCK OWENS: THE BUCK OWENS COLLECTION: 1959-90: DISC 3: 4 1/2 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: The first two discs are perfect- covering the 1960’s- Buck’s 70’s output on disc 3 things start to slide a bit especially with the tragic death of Don Rich but the duet with Dwight Yoacam is on it so that makes up for The Tall Dark Stranger.
All I can say about this block is, YES!!!
